How to view the Qube HD DVR on your mobile or tablet
The Securenet Qube HD comes with a fantastic feature that allows you to view your cameras from your mobile device. No more messing with router settings, DDNS or port forwarding. The process for setup applies to both our 4ch 960H and 8ch Hybrid model DVRs. Here’s how to connect your DVR to your iPhone, iPad or Android device
Pre-requisites
- Connect the DVR directly to your internet router, network switch or powerline device using an RJ45 ethernet cable.
- Go into the DVR network settings and make sure the DHCP enable checkbox is ticked. If it isn’t tick the box and click OK to save settings.
- Connect your mobile phone wirelessly to the same network as the DVR is connected to. This is only needed for initial installation and once installation is completed and you have saved the settings, you will be able to connect and view live video from the DVR anywhere in the world.
Step 1
Depending on your mobile or tablet device make, open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Search for and download ViewEasy2.
Step 2
Once the software has downloaded and installed, open it and click circled + icon and click local search. The software will automatically search and find the DVR on your network through your mobiles WiFi connection. Once the DVR is found, click the GID the search finds and enter the username and password of your DVR. If you have not changed the DVR username or password, by default we can use the following settings;

Once added, click the name of the device next to the circled +, then select the channel number beneath to view the video from the DVR. Its as simple as that!
Setup remote monitoring on another device that is outside the DVR’s network
If the network the DVR is not wireless enabled or if you wish to setup remote monitoring on a mobile phone or tablet that is away from the DVR, this is simple to do. Take note of the DVR’s serial number (printed on the bottom of the DVR and on the external packaging), the username and password (admin/blank by default).
Follow the whole of Step 1 above. Then follow Step 2 above until after pressing the circled + icon. Next select manual option and in the GID field, enter the DVR serial number manually. Fill out the remaining details as per the table above and click the Done button to save settings. Once added, click the name of the device next to the circled +, then select the channel number beneath to view the video from the DVR. Its as simple as that!
